location was great, staff were good
allthough i did not complain about it. i found the card for entry in to room to be a bit haphazzard. took a few minutes to gain entry. one lift to service 8 floors.
The location was pretty good, not right in town but 5 mins walk away. Rooms fairly good size, good water pressure, good hot water.
Breakfasts were pretty simple. Swimming pool was not filled. Staff did not speak english well so were not able to understand the simplest of requests. Blood fingerprint on the toliet paper roll. Asked for a double bed were given 3 singles.
Children liked the swimming pool even it was fairly small. View from the balcony was very nice. Breakfast was good. Location was really good.
Poolarea was not very comfortable - there were no sunbeds or chairs. There was some renovation in the lobby floor and it caused some noise and mess. Price was pretty high in my opinion.
A great location with a sea view and close to the ferries for Galipolli. The room was large, comfortable and spotless. Excellent breakfasts from a restaurant overlooking the harbour. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The promanade along the sea front full of activitiy at night as people strolled along the waterfront and looked at the selection of stalls selling local crafts. An ideal base to explore Galipolli, Troy and the surrounding area. Excellent ferry services to various places.
Great location on the waterfront. Rooms a decent size and reception put us in touch with a travel agency over the phone who organised a Gallipoli tour for us. Was a small group of six and not the huge big buses full of people some of the other tour operators used so this was great. A very fair price too. Hotel is walking distance to the bus depo and ferry. A tip. Some resturants will try not to give you a menu saying fish prices are changing then charge you outragously. Insist on seeing a menu.
A little tired but fine. Did not have a room safe.
Very good location, nice view over the Dardanelles and the Galipoli peninsula. Good size room, and nice roof top bar.
The furniture and bathroom equipment is too old, needs repairs. AC is not too eficient, but still the best in the town.
I was pleased with all aspects of my stay at the Akol Hotel, cleanliness, service and accomodations. I did not have any unsatisfactory experiences during my stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful the hotel was new and it was a great location right near the blue mosque
It faces the coast, and the view of the dining room is good. Wireless lan can use it free of charge.
There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room when arriving. Because the drain of the bathtub was not good, it was necessary to treat it. Parking is difficult because there is a stall in front of the hotel on the night of summer.
The room was comfortable, we had a triple with an extra bed. The airconditioning worked well.
The Akol is listed as a 4 star but I would put it in the catogory of a 3 star in Aussie standards. It was pleasent enough and the rooms were comfortable and reasonably priced, nothing flash.
Centrally located, nice view from the room windows, very friendly stuff, outdoor dining area
Air-conditioner did not work even after we called the reception.
Big rooms, excellent view, nice restaurant on roof terrace, fair breakfast.
Not looking like a 4 star hotel. Old structure and inside designs.
Spacious room with double bed, small coffee-table and two chairs. Balcony overlooking the waterfront in Cannakale. A complimentary fruit selection was provided on arrival.
The breakfast selection was rather monotonous and unappetising. The common areas (staircase and corridor) reeked of garlic. No possibility of having a window open at night for fresh air.
The staff here were fantastic. They couldn't do enough for you, whether it was booking a table out on the deck for dinner or reserving a table in the nightclub upstairs afterwards, they were great. They were always friendly & made u feel special. In particular, the night manager (Bakri) & the public relations manager (Ahmed) went out of their way to help. One night they even organised the local band to sing requests!!!!!! Separately, the location was great & the views from the front of the hotel were excellent.
A centrally located hotel with a wonderful sea view...It is right on the centre of Canakkale which is close to the shopping centre and the main ferry port... We were given an excellent service everywhere in this hotel by a very friendly, smiling staff. Breakfast was particularly rich, plenty and tasty...Rooms must have been recently renovated as our room was spotless ( very important for my wife as she is one those cleaning freaks !! ) and our bed was very comfortable. Free wireless on every floor does also help !! We'll be back and definitely stay at this hotel again...Many thanks !
